Have you had a wedding or similar commitment ceremony? Do you have pictures of that magic day? Would you like to see your partner's beaming face on the pages of the Washington Post? Well, that day could be right around the corner!
The Washington Post has just launched "On Love," their "new weekly feature on weddings and relationships." And they're asking you to tell your story and share your pictures - which we hope they will decide to feature in a Sunday paper this summer!
In the fight for full marriage equality, one of our strongest assets is the example set by each and every same-sex married couple. There is a reason that people cry at weddings - it is a joyful reaction we share to see two people make a life-long commitment to each other in front of friends and family. People who see same-sex couples honoring the tradition of marriage gain special insight into how the universal expression of love truly makes us equal.
So tell your story to the Washington Post and show the world that beautiful moment when you and your partner told each other, "I do." And while you're at it, feel free to send us here at DC for Marriage your story and pictures too - who doesn't love a great wedding story?!
