This Wednesday, June 10, the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics will convene to discuss whether the referendum requested by anti-marriage forces should be allowed to proceed.

Board of Elections to Hold Hearing on Proposed Referendum on DC same sex marriage legislation currently pending in Congress

The District of Columbia Board of Elections and Ethics announces that there will be a Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:30 AM.

The hearing is to determine whether the proposed referendum measure entitled "A Referendum concerning the Jury and Marriage Amendment Act of 2009" is a proper subject for a referendum in the District of Columbia.
